Hundreds of thousands of dollars flow from the corrupt police and fire departments through their public unions, to cooperative council members, like Mayor Jim Wood, and Deputy Mayor Esther Sanchez, in exchange for protection from public complaints of criminal conduct, and votes on expanded union contracts. Election fraud, evidence tampering, conspiracy, civil rights assaults, and criminal intimidation flow to citizens and other council members, like Kern, Feller, and Chavez, to keep them in line, and quiet about police and fire public corruption. Council Member Chavez abandoned his legal and ethical obligations to Veterans, local Marines, their families, and the Citizens of Oceanside, to protect his political career, and a pending six figure job with the California State Veterans office. A cruel joke by Chavez, a former Marine, who turned tail and ran, abandoning the legal rights and protections of ever veteran in the state, and every citizen in Oceanside. Council Member Chavez, like Council Members Kern and Feller served in fear of the Oceanside Police Officers, Firemen, Mayor Wood, and Council Member Esther Sanchez. That fear silenced their voices as the Oceanside Police Officers, and Firemen, criminally defrauded citizens and veterans, tampered with elections, falsified election records, tampered with evidence in criminal prosecutions, and falsely arrested and prosecuted innocent citizens to silence protest.

CM Kern was the first volunteer victim in 2009 of the Police and Fire Departments criminal assault on the city treasury. Oceanside citizens turned out in mass to support and protect CM Kern's council seat. Unfortunately, the Police and Fire assault on Kern made a lasting impression. As soon as the election was over, and his political career saved, he quickly grew silent and did nothing to protect the citizens that gave all to help him. Kern ignored all citizen complaints of Police and Fire Union election fraud, evidence tampering, assaults on citizens in his presence, insurance fraud, Police perjury, and on and on. He knew everything and he did nothing.
The citizens of Oceanside stood behind Kern, and protected him, from the Police and Firefighter election fraud conspiracy. However, Kern did not have the backbone to stand behind the citizens that sacrificed to protect his council set. When the recall election danger to Kern was gone, so was his protection of the citizens tax dollars and their legal and civil rights protections.

As soon as the initial election fraud was over Feller also quickly grew silent and did nothing to protect the citizens that gave him their votes. Feller got the message. If you oppose the Police and Fire corruption, they will crush you and you family, just like CM Chavez. Feller ignored all citizen complaints of Police and Fire Union election fraud, evidence tampering, assaults on citizens, some in his presence, insurance fraud, Police perjury, and on and on.

Council Member Gary Felien
Council Member Felien was elected in November 2010 and sworn in on December 2, 2010 to replace ousted corrupt CM Charles Lowery. Felien has been in office for several months now, and has said nothing, and done nothing, about all of the Police and Fire criminal corruption. It is not looking good for Oceanside Citizens.
